The Pollio family, with the management of the Annunziata estate, launched an organic farming project in 2014 aimed at ensuring healthy, genuine, and sustainable products. The olive grove, cultivated using certified organic methods, produces an oil rich in antioxidants, with a fruity flavor and a low acidity level. Every drop tells the story of care for the land and a passion for quality.
The production process is based on ecosystem-friendly practices, using natural techniques for fertilization and crop protection, while safeguarding soil biodiversity and the surrounding landscape.

The oranges like the lemos are a typical product of the area dating from the 1300’s when exported, it proved to be a significant source of income, the orange is characterised by the thick fragrant skin with a rich bitter pulp full of vitamins this produces an excellent liqueur.

One of the oldest liqueurs produced by the Pollio family prepared with the husks from  unripe walnuts according to tradition the nuts are picked on the 24th June the feast day of San Giovanni, the husks are infused on the same day and the liqueur will then improve with age, the bitter taste is typical of the walnut.

 Strong and pleasantly bitter, the Nocillo of “Il Convento” is born from the alcoholic maceration of green walnuts grown in the family lemon grove. With love for tradition, the walnuts are collected and infused on the day of San Giovanni, June 24, making this liqueur rich in religious symbolism.

Intense notes evoke the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and the flavors of game: Wild Myrtle Liqueur, obtained from slow alcoholic maceration of the berries, awakens the palate with its typical rounded and astringent flavor.

Baba with limoncello

The Baba is typical of the Neapolitan bakers with its antique origins. It is prepared and set to rise in a tin shaped like a cone, baked in a very hot oven and it becomes amber coloured with the typical mushroom shape. The products of the area are combined to create the perfect Baba with lemon. The best way to taste it is to leave for a few minutes to absorb the liqueur.

This is also a typical Neapolitan pastry combined with the acquavite that has been obtained from distilled molasses; after baking, the Baba is left to dry in a rum filled container. The best way to taste it is to leave for a few minutes to absorb the liqueur.

Two varieties of pralines either filled with dark chocolate and lemon flavoured honey or with milk chocolate filled with lemon cream; these pralines from the farm are a true taste of delicious flavours a long time favourite of the farm.

The friars cake

Dating from the 1800’s when the Franciscan fathers of the adjacent convent lovingly created their varoius cakes. The one known as the friars cake was their prize cake the essence of the lemons were added along with canded peel of oranges and lemons. This is a firm favourite of the farm.

The olives of the Sorrentine peninsula are picked by hand and with a cold pressing gives the extra virgin olive oil by “Il Convento”. This is a product 
with rich and delicate flavors, its production is limited and we offer 2 flavored variants: lemon and chili pepper.
